Meet the staff
180 square metres of showroom space with most of the range of new Suzukis, as well as up to 60 used bikes.
Gordon MoffatSenior Sales
Now part time weekends mostly,
but Gordon can still out-sell his
colleagues when the going gets
tough. Years of experience shows
in the end.
Senior sales/ director
Doesn’t think of himself as old, but
we keep reminding him. Just so
there’s no mistake he has joined
the board of directors. Been with
us longer than a long time.
A proper Fifer. A proper biker. Dave has been riding bikes all his life and comes to work most
days on a motorised two wheeler.
The alternative transport is an American Police Car straight out
of Starskey & Hutch. Has a knack for finding the right bike at the right price.
Completely computerised spares ordering and stock control, with dedicated staff to assist with servicing, repairs, spares and accessories. (And to make you a cup of coffee!)
Alan LawrieDealer principal/ director.
Another man from the original
Waterend Road days. Been with
us long enough. Manages the
stores, plus most of the staff.
Keeps the show on the road.
Service/ parts/ clothing and
accessories. A total customer
champion. Surprising, considering
she prefers horses to people. Was
away for a few years looking after
cars, but we poached her back.
A proper ride to work motorcyclist.
Even if it is only on an old banger
of a ZX-6R. Leigh can be trusted
to get the right part first time,
3 dedicated service/ repair bays, 1 fast fit bay, 1 MOT bay, 1 pdi bay; and 1st floor area for cleaning and storing bikes.
Leon MurphyWorkshops foreman
Workshops foreman, Race bike
preparation, and TV celebrity.
Putting the workshops under
some proper organisation, Leon
ensures a right first time
philosphy is followed. Plays a
mean bagpipe as well.
Allan MackieWorkshops director
We’re still looking for something
that Allan can not diagnose, or
any mechanical or electrical
problem he can not fix. Has
grown to tolerate things Italian in
his old age. Much to his own
surprise let alone ours...
An old wolf in sheep’s clothing,
you wouldn’t appreciate his years
of experience with those youthful
looks. Taking pride in the job
makes the difference.
Graeme CowieDriver/ cleaner
A true gent. Former high flying
city banker now switched to his
dream job. Fastidious to a fault
when he gets going with a
Fraser RobbWarehouse manager
Cleaner, driver, janitor; you name
it, Fraser does it. Un-crating and
sorting out new bikes is his
speciality though. Running a wee
OCD competition with Graeme.
We shall see.
Jason MaxwellApprentice mechanic
Another real asset. Always early
to work. Always sporting a smile.
Low maintenance kind of guy -
just gets on with the job.
Keeping the whole show running smoothly (and counting the pennies) on a network of computers from a dedicated sales as well as a separate accounts office.
Director & Janitor. Chief daydreamer.
Sells the odd bike, does
the odd van run and generally
pretends to be useful. Too old to
rock-&-roll and too young to die.
For the time being anyway.
Lorna is on first name terms with
Fidel Castro. Been to Cuba
umpteen times and several other
exotic destinations too dangerous
to mention. Knows how to barter
for utilities and keep the show on
Jo RaffertyDirector/ Administrator.
Do not cross her lightly. Collects
scalps from the sales staff just for
fun, someone needs to of course,
but she does tend to enjoy it a
wee bit too much.
